Are you waiting for your SNAP benefits in August 2025? SNAP, which stands for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, helps families and individuals with low or no income buy groceries each month.

This support comes from the U.S. government and is given using a special card you can swipe at most grocery stores.

As for how much money you can get from SNAP, it varies depending on how much money you make, your living situation, and whether you have a family to feed.

In most parts of America, a single person could get up to $292 per month, and a family of four could receive up to $975 per month. These numbers are bigger in places like Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories.

In 2023, the average SNAP benefit for a household was $332 a month, so you can have an idea of what to expect.

Remember, SNAP aims to help you afford healthy food, so you and your family can eat well and stay strong.
