Additionally, the U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA) has confirmed the continuation of the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer program, known as Summer EBT or SUN Bucks, for June, July, and August 2025. This program is aimed at helping families with additional food costs during the summer when school-based food programs are unavailable.

Thirty-seven states, along with the District of Columbia and all U.S. territories, are participating in this program. Most families eligible for these extra benefits will receive them automatically, though those not auto-enrolled can apply through their state's Summer EBT portal.

This July, as every month, SNAP aims to support eligible families and individuals in maintaining healthy nutrition standards by assisting with the purchase of groceries.
